Accordingly, on the same day, Mr. Hoang Dai (residing in Phong My commune, Phong Dien town, Hue city) discovered a small loris (scientific name Nycticebus pygmaeus) straying into his garden.
Identifying this animal as a critically endangered species according to the IUCN Red Book in group IB, Mr. Dai reported the incident to the Phong Dien Town Forest Protection Department and Phong My Commune Police to take measures to rescue this rare animal.

Upon receipt, because the small loris had injuries and was in poor health, the authorities handed it over to the Vietnam Center for Conservation of Natural Resources and Rescue of Animals and Plants located in Phong My commune for care and nurturing.
On the same day, Phu Loc Forest Protection Department (Hue City) received 1 Java pangolin (scientific name Manis javanica, an animal listed in the IUCN Red Book, belonging to group IB); Thuan Hoa - Phu Xuan Inter-district Forest Protection Department (Hue City) received 2 golden mountain tortoises; 1 Java pangolin handed over by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quyen, residing in Long Ho ward.

Previously, the A Luoi District Forest Protection Department also received three rare red-faced monkeys voluntarily surrendered by Mr. Le Van Hanh (residing in A Luoi town).
According to the Hue City Forest Protection Department, thanks to the active propaganda and mobilization work of the forest rangers and police of communes and wards, especially in mountainous areas, people have raised their awareness in protecting rare and wild animals.
