Voters petition on issues related to infrastructure and site clearance

HNN.VN - On the morning of June 17, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Thuy Xuan Ward (Thuan Hoa District), Delegation Group No. 4 of the Hue City People's Council held a meeting with voters before the 10th regular session of the 8th Hue City People's Council. Attending the meeting were delegates of the Hue City People's Council and the Thuan Hoa District People's Council, along with a large number of voters from Thuy Bang, Thuy Xuan, Thuy Bieu, Phuong Duc and Vinh Ninh wards.

The conference was chaired by member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of Thuan Hoa District Party Committee Phan Thien Dinh and Venerable Thich Hue Phuoc (Nguyen Dinh Cau).

The representative of the delegation of the Hue City People's Council reported to voters about the expected content and time of the 10th session, and informed them about the results of the city's socio -economic development, security and defense in the first 6 months of 2025, and the results of resolving voters' recommendations at the previous session.

At the meeting, local voters reflected on many remaining issues, especially related to planning, civil infrastructure and compensation and site clearance progress.

Notable recommendations include: Land use planning in the area of ​​Vong Canh hill (Thuy Xuan ward), compensation and site clearance in the area around Thieu Tri mausoleum (Thuy Bang), flooding on Le Ngo Cat street and the request to restore the road surface along the Huong river through Phuong Duc ward.

Along with that, voters proposed to assign the authority to inspect goods and handle commercial fraud to the ward government to proactively inspect and avoid delays.

Voters of Thuy Bieu ward proposed to invest in a lighting system for Bui Thi Xuan street from Long Tho bridge to Luong Quan area to facilitate traffic at night for residents and tourists.

In addition, voters suggested speeding up the completion of infrastructure around Nguyen Hoang Bridge, expanding alleys in localities to complete traffic infrastructure, and investing in a lighting system on Bui Thi Xuan Street from Long Tho Bridge to Luong Quan area.

Regarding the operation of two-level local government, many opinions say that it is necessary to increase propaganda, reduce administrative procedures, and create convenience for people.

On behalf of delegation group No. 4, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh acknowledged and discussed the opinions, and at the same time requested that authorities at all levels strengthen the dissemination of resolutions of the Hue City People's Council and coordinate with relevant agencies to promptly resolve issues within their authority.
