
Prolonged heavy rains caused the water level on major river systems such as Serepok, Ba, Ky Lo and Ban Thach rivers to rise very quickly, exceeding alarm level 3 in many places. In communes and wards along Ba and Ky Lo rivers, the water level was 1 - 1.5 m deep, causing serious isolation.
According to initial records, 34 communes and wards in the East of Dak Lak and some communes in the West such as Yang Mao, Cu Pui, Krong Bong, Ea Sup, Ea Rok, Ea Bung, Ia Rve, Ia Lop, Krong A, Vu Bon, Ea O, Cu Yang, Ea Pal, Krong Ana, Dur Kmal, Ea Na... are being affected by flash floods, landslides, widespread flooding, many places are completely isolated.
Faced with the complicated flood situation, to support the Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police to ensure traffic order and safety, rescue and support people, the Traffic Police Department has requested localities to increase forces and vehicles to the flooded areas. In particular, Da Nang Police mobilized 2 boats, 8 officers and soldiers. Quang Ngai Police mobilized 1 boat, 4 officers and soldiers. Lam Dong Police mobilized 3 boats, 3 officers and soldiers. Dong Nai Police arranged 2 boats, 4 officers and soldiers.
Forces under the Department such as the Road and Railway Department, the Waterway Department, Waterway Division I and Waterway Division II were also requested to maximize rescue vehicles and equipment, and coordinate with localities to immediately approach deeply flooded areas and isolated residential areas.
The reinforced forces will be deployed to key points, coordinate with local authorities to evacuate people and bring necessities to isolated areas; and at the same time, stand guard at routes at risk of flash floods, landslides, and strong currents to guide, divert traffic, and resolutely prohibit vehicles from passing when safety is not guaranteed.
The Traffic Police Department requests the Traffic Police force to create maximum conditions for vehicles to transport necessities, medicine, drinking water, blankets, etc. to serve relief work, ensuring that relief goods reach people as quickly as possible and to the places where they are needed most.
