The Tax Department said the conversion was carried out to ensure data security, improve operational efficiency and enhance the continuous operation of the tax sector's information technology system.
As planned, some applications such as e-Invoice, e-Tax Service and Transmission Axis will be temporarily suspended for a short period of time to serve the conversion, and operate on backup infrastructure with limited performance for most of the implementation period.
Specifically, the downtime for switching between Data Centers includes:
Electronic Invoice Application: Pause for 4 hours, from 0:00 to 4:00 on May 24 (Saturday) and from 0:00 to 4:00 on June 14 (Saturday).
Electronic Tax Service Application and Transmission Axis: Suspended for 48 hours from 6:00 p.m. on May 23 (Friday) to 4:00 p.m. on May 25 (Sunday) and from 6:00 p.m. on June 13 (Friday) to 4:00 p.m. on June 15 (Sunday).
The time the Tax Department's application system is operated at the Backup Data Center (DRC) with performance reaching 70% compared to the main Data Center includes:
Electronic Invoice Application: From 4:00 a.m. on May 24 (Saturday) to 0:00 a.m. on June 14 (Saturday).
Electronic Tax Service Application and Transmission Axis: From 4:00 p.m. on May 25 (Sunday) to 6:00 p.m. on June 13 (Friday).
Time for the Tax Department's application system to resume operation on the main data center:
Electronic Invoice Application: From 4:00 a.m. on June 14, 2025 (Saturday).
Electronic Tax Service Application and Transmission Axis: From 4:00 p.m. on June 15, 2025 (Sunday).
The Tax Department said that during the suspension period, taxpayers cannot access and use the tax sector's electronic applications and services, including electronic invoice applications; electronic tax services for businesses (eTax), individuals (iCanhan), eTax Mobile application, e-Commerce Portal, Electronic Information Portal for Foreign Suppliers of Electronic Tax Services on the National Public Service Portal, Ministry of Finance Public Service Portal, Provincial Public Service Portal.
At the same time, data exchange between the Tax Department and external agencies and organizations was also temporarily interrupted. Affected units include: Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Department of Land Registration and Information Data - Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Administrative Procedure Control - Government Office , Vietnam Register, Ministry of Construction, Department A08, C06, C08, V01 - Ministry of Public Security, People's Committees of provinces/cities under the Central Government, Department of Information Technology and Digital Transformation, Customs Department, Department of Statistics, State Securities Commission, State Treasury, Vietnam Social Security, Department of Private Enterprise Development and Collective Economy, T-VAN units, Commercial banks, solution providers, organizations receiving and storing electronic invoice data.
