Coastal route 719B is gradually completed, opening the way for economic development.

The coastal route DT.719B, Phan Thiet - Ke Ga section, is being gradually completed, opening up a strategic inter-regional traffic axis, creating a strong push for socio-economic development, especially sea tourism in the southern part of the province.

Key projects reach 80% volume

With a length of more than 25.61 km, the DT.719B route connects Phan Thiet City to Tan Thanh Commune (Ham Thuan Nam District), winding between cajuput forests, dragon fruit gardens and the poetic Tien Thanh - Ke Ga coastline. When completed, this will not only be a vital traffic route promoting the local economy but also create an attractive highlight for tourists to experience Binh Thuan. The project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of more than 1,274 billion VND from the central and local budgets. The route is designed in a modern style with a 16 m wide road surface, a 28 m roadbed, an 11 m central median strip, asphalt concrete structure on crushed stone aggregate, with a synchronous lighting system and trees, expected to be put into operation on the entire route by the end of 2025.

According to the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, the DT.719B road project, Phan Thiet - Ke Ga section, started construction on November 25, 2020, and is currently at about 80% of the contract volume. Of which, the section from National Highway 1 to Suoi Nhum Bridge (17.8 km) has been completed and put into operation. However, there are still 3.88 km through the titanium mining area of ​​Tan Quang Cuong Company Limited that cannot be constructed due to site clearance problems. The Provincial People's Committee is directing relevant agencies and units to urgently carry out procedures for handing over the construction site. Compensation and site clearance work is being accelerated with a total recovered area of ​​146.4 hectares/321 records (including 7 records of Tan Thanh roundabout). Of which, Phan Thiet City has 167 records (65.4 hectares), Ham Thuan Nam district has 156 records (81.9 hectares). Currently, the work of land recovery notification and inventory has been completed 100% (323/323 files), legal review reached 99.7% (322/323 files). The district-level compensation council has approved 99.1% of files (320/323), of which Phan Thiet City reached 98.2%, Ham Thuan Nam district reached 100%. Regarding the compensation plan, up to now, 98.8% of files (319/323) have been approved and payment has reached 98.8% (319/323 files). The work of handing over the site has also been accelerated, the District Land Fund Development Center has coordinated with the investor, the construction unit and the locality to mobilize households to hand over the site in advance about 21.73/25.61 km, reaching 84.8%...

Inter-regional connectivity, attracting investment

Not only creating favorable conditions for people to travel and transport goods, the DT.719B route connecting Ham My commune to Tien Thanh - Tien Loi (Phan Thiet) - Thuan Quy - Tan Thanh (Ke Ga) also plays a special role in connecting major tourist destinations such as Ke Ga area with Tien Thanh and Mui Ne communes (Phan Thiet). Not only the 719B route, the coastal infrastructure system is being promoted by the province. The DT.719B route from Ke Ga intersection to Tan Thanh, Tan Thuan, connecting through Tan Hai, Tan Tien, Tan Binh, Binh Tan, Tan Thien and Tan An communes (La Gi town) and then extending to National Highway 55 which has been upgraded and put into use, helping to create a complete traffic network. In addition, the route from Ham Kiem to Tien Thanh (connecting National Highway 1 to DT.719B) has also been completed, contributing to the formation of a synchronous coastal traffic chain, creating favorable conditions for economic development, trade of goods and attracting investment in the southern region of the province...

In fact, the traffic clearance has brought about clear results. According to many business households in Tan Thanh commune (Ham Thuan Nam), the number of visitors to Ke Ga has increased significantly every weekend compared to before. Thanks to the clear roads and the large number of visitors, our business is also more bustling, especially seafood, drinks, and coastal food services. A representative of a tourism business in Tien Thanh commune (Phan Thiet city) also commented that the completion of route 719B will promote the development of coastal tourism in the province. The route will help shorten travel time between coastal tourist destinations, attract more visitors, and increase investment attraction in this area.

As a strategic traffic axis, coastal route 719B receives special attention from provincial leaders, closely monitoring the progress of each item. When the entire route is completed, coastal route DT.719B will be an infrastructure highlight, contributing to the strong development of the southern region of the province.
