With archer Le Quoc Phong winning the 12th Olympic ticket, Vietnamese Sports has achieved the set target of winning 12-15 tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On June 17, the Archery Department (Department of Sports and Physical Training, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) informed that archer Le Quoc Phong became the 12th athlete of Vietnamese Sports to officially win a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics, after reaching the semi-finals of the men's individual 1-string bow event at the Archery World Cup in Antalya, Turkey (taking place from June 12-23).
The Archery World Cup Round 3 in Türkiye is also the final Olympic qualifying round for archery, where 5 men's singles and 8 women's singles and 2 men's team and 2 women's team spots will be awarded to participate in the Olympics this summer (the previous rounds in Shanghai (China) and Yecheon (Korea) were points rounds).
Previously in Yecheon (Korea), Le Quoc Phong made history for Vietnamese archery when for the first time an archer entered the top 4 of the World Cup.
This is a tournament that brings together all the world's top athletes, with the importance of accumulating Olympic team points.
Besides, Le Quoc Phong also had the honor of meeting his idol - former world number 1 Lee Wooseok (Korea).
