This girl also won a bronze medal in literature at the April Olympic contest in Ho Chi Minh City, second prize in city-level scientific research, second prize in the contest to learn about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, and a sports award.

Confessing about herself, the 3-good student admitted:

- I am diligent and always try to not study unbalanced. For the subjects I am not good at, I spend more time and watch videos to supplement my knowledge...

I always try to find my favorite points in each group of subjects and will really enjoy finding answers with natural subjects or being able to open up and share personal thoughts with social subjects.

Having my family support makes me feel respected. This empowers me when I make decisions, also helps me to take responsibility for my choices and be more confident in life.

HOANG NGOC NHI

3 Good Students: Only through failure can one succeed.

* Have you ever failed?

- Yes, a lot, in literature competitions. In middle school, I often received scores that were close to winning prizes. There were times when I was extremely disappointed and told my teachers that I would not compete anymore.

But my teachers always encouraged me, helping me from doubting my own abilities to gradually understanding that it was from participating in many competitions like that that I became bolder, more experienced and the sweet fruit was winning the Olympic competition in April in Ho Chi Minh City.

* Does a young person need to train himself in orientation and self-awareness early?

- When there is a clearer direction for the future, each person will build a foundation for development sooner.

I think that for someone who is too confused, not knowing who they are or what they do, it will be very difficult to compete with friends who are using that time to develop every day. Sometimes they are wasting a lot of time doing things they don't like, even doing the same thing over and over again that is not really suitable for them when they lack direction.

Nurture motivation and confidence

* Does that mean you have already decided on the field you want to pursue in the future?

- With a little strength in writing and communication, I want to study and work in the social sector, possibly becoming a journalist or editor. Besides, I am trying to learn more Chinese to find scholarships to study abroad or exchange programs in China. I want to be able to step out into the world to broaden my horizons and experience.

* How does your family nurture and support your dreams?

- The results I have achieved have always been accompanied by my family. My parents have always supported me in every journey no matter what my choice is, never stopping me but always allowing me to freely and comfortably choose in life. Mostly, my parents just follow and cheer for me.

I remember that during the Ho Chi Minh City Olympic competition in April, my whole family followed me to support me. They stayed at the competition venue for more than two hours to wait for me to leave together when I finished the exam. These things are my motivation in the present and in the future.

* I heard that you are passionate about Youth Union activities, what do you love about it?

- I was afraid of crowds, quite introverted and shy. It was the Youth Union activities that helped me learn to open up through contact with many people, have more relationships, and be more sociable with friends.

I learned how to persuade and motivate people to participate in activities, and told myself not to be too nervous when speaking in front of a crowd. These experiences gradually helped me become more confident and no longer have the fear of crowds like before.

* Do you have your own motto in life?

- I like the saying "Know yourself, know your enemy, and you can fight a hundred battles with no danger of defeat" because it really helps me a lot. Being able to participate in many competitions is a blessing for me and I always remind myself to keep moving forward and not give up easily.

Whether I win or not, I approach each competition with a serious attitude and try my best. I always observe and have a panoramic view, considering the abilities and strengths of other contestants. That helps me realize where I stand in the group, thereby overcoming weaknesses and trying to focus my efforts in the right direction.
