Coach Amorim responds to Ronaldo about 'unkind words' towards Man United

In a high-profile conversation with MC Piers Morgan, Ronaldo continued to attack his former team. Accordingly, Ronaldo implied that despite his talent, coach Amorim could not turn things around at Man United.

"Amorim did the best he could. But to create a miracle? That's impossible. In Portugal, we have a saying that miracles only happen in Fatima. So Ruben Amorim cannot create a miracle," Ronaldo said.

In the press conference before the important match with Tottenham, coach Amorim immediately responded: "He (Ronaldo) knows the impact of what he says. We don't want to look back at the past. Man United made many mistakes, but now is the time to change.

We are doing that, changing the structure, the way we operate, the way the players behave. Things are getting better. Let's focus on the present and forget the past."

The upcoming match against Tottenham brings back sad memories of the defeat in the Europa League final in May, which cost Man United a Champions League place. However, according to coach Amorim, the current Man United are completely different from that team.

Amorim stressed: "First of all, we have players with different characteristics. Many are still from last season, but now they play better. They understand how to operate better, are more confident. We control the game better, know how to endure and turn situations around."

On November 8 at 7:30 p.m. (Vietnam time), Tottenham Hotspur will host Man United in the opening match of round 11 of the 2025-2026 Premier League.
