Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan has just approved the planning task of the Olympic sports urban area (area A) within the administrative boundaries of Thanh Liet ward and the communes of Dai Thanh, Ngoc Hoi, Tam Hung, Thuong Tin, and Binh Minh.
This area is bordered by Phan Trong Tue Street to the North, Ring Road 4 to the South, existing residential area and Ngoc Hoi Industrial Park to the East, and urban subdivision C4 to the West.
The scale of the study on the Olympic sports urban zoning in Hanoi at a scale of 1/2000 is about 16,081 hectares. The scale of the Olympic sports urban zoning - Zone A, at a scale of 1/2000 is about 3,280 hectares. The planning period is until 2045 with a vision to 2065.
The approved planning tasks focus on developing synchronous and modern urban infrastructure and connecting infrastructure, including axes from Hanoi connecting to major cities in the region, belt roads 4 and 5 in the Hanoi capital region and urban railway lines.
At the same time, a complex of urban sports, tourism services, and ecology will be formed in the South of Hanoi city, with a sports complex and "Olympic villages" of regional and international standards that meet the standards and conditions to be able to organize the Asian Games and the Olympic Games.
The unit responsible for organizing the planning is the Architectural Planning Project Management Board (under the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture); The appraisal agency is the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture; The approval agency is the Hanoi People's Committee. The time for preparing the project is based on the request of the City People's Committee and does not exceed 9 months.
