Diversify forms of popularization and legal education among military youth

Attending the conference were Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Major General Nguyen Ba Luc, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Over the past 5 years, the work of propagating, disseminating and educating the State law and military discipline to cadres, union members and youth has been thoroughly grasped, seriously and effectively implemented by Party committees, political commissars, commanders and agencies and units throughout the army. The content and forms of disseminating and educating the law have been innovated and diversified, linked with political, ideological, ethical and lifestyle education. The role of Party committees, commanders, political commissars, political officers, political agencies and union organizations at all levels has been promoted. The responsibility of self-study, research and awareness of law and discipline compliance of cadres, union members and youth has been raised. Many units have not had serious disciplinary violations, and regular discipline has decreased.

The work of disseminating legal education to military youth is implemented comprehensively, with diverse content, and in many rich forms such as: Through union activities, implementing Law Day, organizing competitions, seminars, exchanges, forums, thematic talks, dramatization, etc.; integrated with other plans and programs of disseminating legal education and basic and regular education contents and forms at the unit.

Many practical movements and activities have been widely deployed, typically the "Youth Army with Traffic Culture" Festival; competitions and contests to learn about law and discipline such as: "Youth with the Law" dramatization contest; "Youth Army upholds the law" contest; "Youth Army writes skits" contest "Vietnamese youth proactively and creatively mobilize people to comply with the law"; propaganda video contest with the theme "Youth Army proactively carries out the dissemination and education of law"..., thereby attracting a large number of cadres, union members, youth Army and people to participate.

Based on political tasks and practical situations, agencies and units have directed the Youth Union to launch and carry out emulation campaigns (peaks) on discipline compliance, building discipline and ensuring safety. The implementation process focuses on overcoming weak links and weak points; promoting propaganda, education, raising awareness of responsibility and self-consciousness in participating in the movement for cadres, union members and youth; attaching importance to building and replicating advanced models and typical examples; regularly paying attention to the material and spiritual life and addressing the legitimate needs and aspirations of youth; strengthening the organization of cultural, artistic, physical education, sports, exchange and twinning activities, especially during holidays, breaks, holidays, Tet...

Agencies and units proactively and actively coordinate with press agencies inside and outside the Army to propagate models, typical examples, and results of legal education dissemination in newspapers, internal radio, information portals, social networks, etc. with more than 42,000 news and articles, thereby spreading the spirit of respect for the law, raising awareness and responsibility for law compliance and discipline among youth in the entire army.

Along with that, the Army youth also promote their pioneering and creative role, actively participating in propaganda and mobilizing people to comply with the law at the grassroots level, especially in remote, border, island and ethnic minority areas, contributing to strengthening military-civilian solidarity, maintaining political security, social order and safety...

The above results have directly contributed to building strong youth organizations, building strong, comprehensive "exemplary" units, building exemplary, clean, strong party organizations; building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern Vietnam People's Army, meeting the requirements of the task of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.

In the coming time, in order to continue to improve the effectiveness of the work of disseminating and educating the law, raising legal awareness for young people in the Army, the key tasks and solutions identified include: Raising awareness, responsibility, strengthening the leadership, direction and guidance of Party committees, political commissars, political officers, commanders, and political agencies at all levels in the work of disseminating, disseminating, educating the law and discipline for young people; promoting the pioneering and creative role of youth organizations at all levels; promptly combating and criticizing manifestations of deviant and incorrect thoughts and violations of discipline; focusing on prominent issues such as lack of peace of mind at work, lack of self-awareness, fear of self-cultivation and training; promoting the organization of revolutionary action movements of young people.

Along with that is the review, drawing experience from activities and disseminating and replicating a number of typical models and good practices in propaganda, dissemination, and education of law and discipline for youth in the Army; promoting the application of digital transformation in information and propaganda work on mass media and units; educating and fostering to raise awareness, responsibility, skills, and expertise in conducting ideological work, discipline management, dissemination, and education of law for the team of reporters, legal propagandists, union officials, officials in charge of youth work and platoon-level officials...

To recognize the outstanding achievements in implementing and organizing the dissemination and education of law, raising legal awareness for young people in the Army in the period of 2021 - 2025, the Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army decided to award Certificates of Merit to 55 collectives and 121 individuals.
