Rare python weighing more than 30kg released into the natural environment

On November 6, the People's Committee of Tuyen Hoa Commune, Quang Tri Province, announced that it had coordinated with Cao Quang Forest Ranger Station to release a rare 30kg python into the wild. The python's scientific name is Python bivittatus, belonging to group IIB in the list of endangered and rare forest animals.

Mr. Pham Van Nam, residing in Bau 3 village (Tuyen Hoa commune, Quang Tri ) discovered a large python coiled up in the corner of his house and reported it to local authorities and forest rangers.

The forest rangers quickly arrived and coordinated with local authorities to safely capture the python, avoiding danger to people and livestock. The python was taken to a suitable area to be released into the wild.

If not detected and handled promptly, this python can be dangerous to humans, especially children and pets in residential areas. The timely reporting and coordination of the release of rare pythons into the natural environment by the people shows the high sense of responsibility of the people in protecting wildlife, contributing to maintaining ecological balance and biodiversity.
