Hue plans to relocate over 3,000 households in coastal and lagoon areas.

On November 6, the Hue City Civil Defense Command said that in response to storm No. 13, the city has made plans to evacuate 3,038 households with 9,977 people, mainly concentrated in coastal areas, lagoons, and vulnerable landslide areas.

According to forecasts, under the influence of storm No. 13, the sea area of ​​Hue city from November 6 to 7 will have winds gradually increasing to level 6 - 8, gusts of level 9 - 10, rough seas; waves 2 - 4 m high. The sea area south of Hue city, closer to the storm center, will have strong winds of level 8 - 9, gusts of level 10 - 12, very rough seas, waves 3 - 5 m high.

The coastal area of ​​Hue city has storm surges of 0.3 - 0.6 m high. Beware of surges combined with high tides and big waves that can cause coastal erosion, seawalls and sea erosion deep into the mainland in the communes and wards of Phong Phu, Phong Quang, Thuan An, Phu Vinh, Vinh Loc, Phu Loc, Chan May - Lang Co. All ships operating in the sea and offshore areas of Hue city are at high risk of being affected by storms, strong winds, big waves, surges... which can cause damage or be sunk by waves, including large cargo ships.

On land, coastal communes and wards of Hue city have strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 - 9; other places have gusts above level 6. The storm circulation also causes moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places; total rainfall from the day is commonly 150 - 300 mm, in some places over 500 mm. The city has developed three storm and rain scenarios, corresponding to rainfall from 200 - 600 mm, with water levels forecast to exceed alert level III on the Huong and Bo rivers.

Regarding boats, over 1,000 boats with over 7,000 workers have reached safe anchorage. The city strictly maintains a 24/7 command and control regime; ready forces and means for rescue.

Regarding the consequences of the recent exceptionally large floods, the authorities and functional forces of Hue city are actively supporting flooded schools to clean up and disinfect so that teaching and learning can soon be stabilized; electricity, water and basic traffic systems have been restored; no more villages or hamlets are isolated.
