The Department of Industry and Trade said that currently, goods in localities are of full variety, and food and foodstuffs are supplied promptly by businesses to serve people's needs.
Along with fresh food supplied 2-3 times/day, dry foods such as cakes, instant noodles or filtered water are stocked in supermarkets, ready for people in Hanoi and transported immediately to neighboring provinces when needed.
"The price of vegetables and fruits has increased by 30-40% compared to normal days. In particular, essential food and dry goods have increased by 70-80% and we have enough to meet customers' shopping needs," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc - Director of BRGMart supermarket 120 Hang Trong.
With isolated areas in the Northwest mountains, retail businesses said they have planned to transport goods to central warehouses, and deliver food as the water recedes.

Businesses also committed to stabilizing prices of all fresh foods and essential foods to serve the needs of all people.
