That is the story of teacher Nguyen Thi Ba, 75 years old. Her only wish is for her students to have the opportunity to learn and thus rise up in life.

Before retiring in 2003, she taught at Tuong Binh Hiep Primary School, Thu Dau Mot City. Since she had no relatives or husband or children there, she decided to move to Vinh Long to live with her brother's family for a while.

But because she missed the place where she had taught for most of her life, she moved to Binh Duong alone to rent a room, live on her pension and sell lottery tickets to make a living.

On her way to sell lottery tickets across the streets of Phu Cuong ward, Mrs. Ba, now 68 years old, saw many children who had to earn a living from a young age, most of them were illiterate or had dropped out of school.

Thinking that she still had health and a job, in 2016 she applied to the Phu Cuong Ward Cultural, Sports and Community Learning Center to teach for free. It was also because of this opportunity that came from this lingering concern in her heart that for the past 8 years, there has not been a day when her mind was not focused on the children in this class.

After 13 years of retirement, the teacher once again stood on the podium. The classroom was only 15 square ^meters with less than 20 students spread out from grade 1 to grade 5 with many different living conditions, the youngest student was only 6 years old and the oldest student was 33 years old.

In the middle of a big city, the hunched back of a woman still works hard on the streets, continuing to sell lottery tickets to earn money to pay for poor students' education.
