To ensure the journey complies with legal and biological science requirements, the Rescue Team received technical support from the Wildlife Conservation Center in Vietnam and the Da Nang City Forest Protection Department.
Accordingly, 18 wild animals were rescued, including: 12 deer ( Rusa unicolor ), 2 pig-tailed macaques ( Macaca leonina ), 3 red-faced macaques ( Macaca arctoides ) and 1 python ( Python molurus). These are endangered and rare wild animals classified in group IIB according to Decree No. 84/2021/ND-CP of the Government on management of endangered and rare forest plants and animals...
It is known that these animals were transferred by Thanh Khe District People's Committee to Da Nang Forest Protection Department and Cuc Phuong National Park was chosen as the place to rescue, preserve and re-wild some endangered, rare and threatened species in the wild.
Recently, many units and individuals have transferred rare wild animals to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms. of Cuc Phuong National Park in particular and conservation facilities nationwide in general.
The transfer of animals to facilities with adequate conditions for care and conservation not only demonstrates responsibility in conservation work but also has a noble humanitarian meaning. These results affirm that the work of wildlife conservation under the direction of the Government is widely spread, and the community is interested and responsive.
With a peripheral conservation area of nearly 200 hectares in Cuc Phuong National Park, this will be an ideal home for rescuing, rehabilitating, nurturing, caring for, and conserving many wild animals.
