TPO - Authorized to represent the club to donate 11,232,000 VND, but HT only transferred 1,123,200 VND, lower than the announced amount of 10,108,800 VND. The incident was discovered after the Vietnam Fatherland Front published the statement.

The above incident happened at the Resource Club (CLB) of the Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade.

Immediately afterwards, the Youth Union - Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade worked with the Club and had an initial report on the incident.

According to the report, the above Club was dissolved in January 2024 after a period of ineffective operation. At the time of dissolution, the remaining fund of the Club was 11,232,000 VND and the Board of Directors agreed to hand it over to HT alumni (members of the Board of Directors) who had graduated to keep.

When storm No. 3 hit our country, causing human and property damage in some northern provinces, the members of the Club's Executive Board proposed transferring the entire amount to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support the affected people.

On September 9, former student HT transferred 1,123,200 (instead of the full amount of 11,232,000) to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, then asked a friend to photoshop it to 11,232,000 to post to the Club's reporting group.

However, after the Vietnam Fatherland Front publicly disclosed the statement, the above incident was discovered. The former student HT realized his mistake and transferred the entire remaining amount to the Vietnam Fatherland Front's account on September 14.

Regarding this incident, representatives of the Board of Directors, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union and the Student Association of the school invited members of the Club's Executive Committee and HT alumni to work. At the working session, HT admitted his wrongdoings, due to his immature thinking, affecting the Club, teachers and the school, and asked everyone to forgive him so that he could change himself. This was a personal mistake and not related to the Club.

The Youth Union - Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade also sent an apology to the people who suffered losses in storm No. 3, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and all teachers and students of the school about the above incident.

Since the Vietnam Fatherland Front published the list of statements of donations from donors, many individuals, including famous people, have been exposed by netizens for the huge discrepancy between the actual amount of donations and their declarations, and images of money transfers on social networks have caused much outrage among the public.
