On May 29, the Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City Police said it had just rescued the tourist boat Han Giang 6, carrying 70 tourists, which ran aground on the Han River.

Previously, at 8:30 p.m. on May 28, the Han Giang 6 tourist boat was carrying 70 tourists on a tour of the Han River. When approaching Tran Thi Ly Bridge, the Han Giang 6 tourist boat suddenly ran aground.

70 tourists stranded on the Han Giang 6 tourist boat were safely rescued

At this time, the ship's driver and crew tried to steer the ship but could not escape the shoal.

Upon receiving the news, the Waterway Police Team of the Traffic Police Department, together with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Da Nang City Police, quickly deployed a coordination plan.

Rescue forces mobilized officers, soldiers and canoes to approach and bring all 70 tourists safely to shore.

Previously, to serve the International Fireworks Festival, Han River Port temporarily suspended the operation of tourist boats to serve as a gathering place and fireworks display. The tourist boats moved to the foot of Tran Thi Ly Bridge to continue serving tourists. The location of the Han Giang 6 ship stranded near the temporary dock mentioned above.

It is known that Da Nang City currently has 49.2 km of inland waterways, of which 8.3 km of Han River has 21 tourist boats operating, serving an average of 400 - 600 visitors/day and night.
