The whole country has turned its attention to the people in the disaster area of Lao Cai . Hundreds of relief groups come here every day, bringing love, necessities, supplies, money... together with the locality to care for and help people overcome the disaster. This noble gesture is truly meaningful and extremely valuable.
Although the road was landslide and difficult to travel, volunteer groups still came one after another to help people in the disaster-affected areas.
But in the past few days, worrying stories have begun to appear, which could cause many consequences.
In areas where natural disasters have just occurred, every day there are groups of people coming to film, take pictures, livestream... some groups even stand or sit in large numbers on the trunks or roofs of cars, or ask people to coordinate in staging this scene or that scene. In the name of charity, they are ready to be aggressive with anyone who disagrees with their actions.
And then the information about the need for help appeared all over social networks, that people in this place were starving, that place had not received any relief, the government was nowhere to be seen... When our reporters checked the information, they found that it was all untrue, one-sided or malicious.
Many disaster-hit areas in Lao Cai are still in a very difficult situation, but the prerequisite of not letting anyone go hungry or without a place to live has been achieved. The villages and residential groups that were once isolated have had working groups from the province, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, agencies, departments, branches, and localities come to support the people and direct the overcoming of the consequences of the disaster. Traffic and power grids are being urgently restored, and communications have been smooth to all communes...
Food bags convey love from people in the lowlands to people in the flood areas.
Where cars are available, essential goods are transported by car, where it is more difficult, they are transported by motorbike, and where it is too difficult to use any means of transport, the commune police, militia, youth union members and people walk to the assembly point to coordinate with outside forces to transport relief goods to each village and each residential group. If there are places that these forces cannot reach, then can volunteer groups reach them? Thanks to the love of people across the country, up to this point, the amount of essential goods to provide emergency support to people in disaster areas has been temporarily stable. In the coming days, people need rice, household items, means of production, and very much need money to rebuild their houses and stabilize their lives in the long term.
Any help, in any form, through local socio -political organizations, through friends, or directly to people in disaster areas is valuable. However, in the face of information chaos, sometimes malicious, or taking advantage of natural disasters for personal gain, we hope that kind-hearted people, in addition to sending material goods, will take more time to verify, so that their concern reaches the right place, the right place.
Lao Cai people will never forget these days!
