Over the past 80 years, every stage of the Vietnamese revolution has been marked by the great contributions of intellectuals, artists, and scientists. They are brave in combat, persistent in creativity, pioneers in innovation, and devoted to building the country...
The General Secretary shared that our country has the foundation, potential, position and prestige it has today thanks to the 4,000-year tradition of national culture that has been converging and crystallizing in 95 years under the leadership of the Party, 80 years of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, 40 years of renovation; thanks to the consensus, response, hard work and dedication of millions of working people, including intellectuals, scientists and artists.

On behalf of the Party, State and people, the General Secretary commends, acknowledges, expresses gratitude and hopes for the great contributions of intellectuals, scientists and artists throughout the history of the nation, especially since the Party and Uncle Ho led our country and people.
At the meeting, the General Secretary reported on the country's situation, especially the efforts to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and to prepare well for the successful organization of the 14th National Party Congress, ensuring the successful implementation of the two 100-year goals set by the Party: striving to become a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030; by 2045, to become a developed country with high income; listening to the contributions of intellectuals, scientists, artists.
The General Secretary emphasized that in a world full of changes, maintaining the current goals of maintaining peace and stability; rapid and sustainable development; and further improving the material and spiritual life of the people is a very high and urgent requirement. To achieve this goal, the entire political system must take drastic action, the entire population needs to respond strongly, including the joint efforts of intellectuals, scientists and artists.
The General Secretary stated that we are living in an era where knowledge is the most important resource for development, the “new energy” of the 21st century. The fourth industrial revolution, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, renewable energy, etc. are profoundly changing all aspects of social life. If we do not promptly adapt, accept and master, we will fall behind. Therefore, more than ever, the role of scientists, intellectuals, artists, those who light the torch of knowledge and creativity, becomes more crucial. You are not only “engineers of the soul,” “architects of the future,” those who demonstrate the “potential of the Vietnamese people,” but also those who keep the fire burning, spreading Vietnamese values, Vietnamese spirit, and Vietnamese identity in a competitive and changing world.
To realize the aspiration for national development, the General Secretary requested that intellectuals, scientists, artists and writers need to accompany the Party and the people, promote their intelligence, revolutionary qualities and patriotism to the highest level to research, innovate and contribute to the cause of rapid and sustainable development of the country; focus on key areas such as science and technology, education and training, healthcare, high-tech agriculture, digital economy, digital society, green energy conversion, circular economy, etc.

The General Secretary suggested continuing to preserve, nurture and develop an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity in the digital age and the new era. Artists need to be soldiers on the spiritual front, constantly creating works of ideological and aesthetic value, with the power to spread, inspire and elevate the souls of the Vietnamese people in the current context of globalization and integration.
Intellectuals, scientists, and artists need to demonstrate a spirit of dedication to their work, proactively participating in the process of building and criticizing policies in the spirit of science, humanity, and nation. Intellectuals are not only researchers and teachers, but also creators, supplementing knowledge and morality, contributing to shaping the country's development path in the spirit of serving the country, serving the people, and preserving the nation; actively connecting and spreading knowledge, experience, and values to the younger generation. Let's pass on not only knowledge but also national spirit, revolutionary ideals, patriotism, and humanity to the next generation. This is the most practical way for good values to be promoted and "live forever in the national cause."
The General Secretary asked intellectuals, scientists, artists and writers to maintain professional ethics, honesty, science, revolution and social responsibility. In the context of multi-dimensional information, mixed truth and falsehood, many events and incidents are fabricated by technology and artificial intelligence, the qualities of intellectuals become even more important. Integrity, honesty and kindness are the shields protecting the truth, protecting people, helping society to be healthy and develop.
Affirming that the Party and State always pay attention to and create conditions for intellectuals, scientists and artists to promote their talents, creativity and dedication to the country, the General Secretary believes that Vietnamese intellectuals, scientists and artists will continue to be the pioneering force, the flame that paves the way for our nation to move forward strongly, firmly and confidently into the future./.
