Fox News on May 31 Tara Reade, the former US Senate staffer who accused Joe Biden of sexual assault in 2020, said earlier this week that she had traveled to Russia. Biden has denied the accusations during his 2020 presidential campaign.
“I’m still a little bit shaken up, but I feel fine,” Reade told Russia’s Sputnik news agency. Sitting next to her during the interview was Maria Butina, a Russian spy who was jailed in the US but is now a Russian lawmaker.

"I felt surrounded by protection and safety... I'm really grateful to Maria and everyone who protected me at a time when it was so difficult to know if I was safe," Ms Reade added.
Ms Reade told Sputnik that the decision to defect to Russia was very difficult, but that she is now "enjoying her time in Moscow" and said she "feels very much at home".
The White House and President Biden have not commented on Ms. Reade's remarks in Russia.
Reade, 59, was an aide to Biden when he was a senator from Delaware. In 2020, Reade said that in 1993, Biden pushed her against a wall in a Senate hallway and sexually assaulted her. Biden was a presidential candidate at the time of the accusation. He has denied all allegations that he sexually abused Reada.
