Former Vietnam national team player passed out on National First Division field

In the 49th minute of the match between Da Nang and Dong Nai in round 9 of the 2023/2024 National First Division, striker Ha Minh Tuan tried to jump up to compete for the ball in the air with the away team's central defender Bui Ngoc Thinh. When jumping up, Minh Tuan collided strongly with the opposing player and he was unconscious when he landed.

The home team immediately came to Minh Tuan's aid to prevent him from swallowing his tongue. The medical team also arrived later to provide first aid and take the 32-year-old player to the hospital by ambulance. The match was interrupted for more than 10 minutes.

Ha Minh Tuan is one of the veteran strikers of Da Nang football. He won the 2017 V-League championship with Quang Nam and was called up to the Vietnam national team to prepare for the 2022 World Cup qualifying round at the end of 2019.

The match between Da Nang and Dong Nai then ended with a 1-0 victory for Da Nang. The only goal of the match at Hoa Xuan Stadium was scored in the first half by former U23 Vietnam player - Phan Van Long.
