Da Lat: Giving hundreds of gifts and scholarships to people in difficult circumstances

Preliminary statistics show that 872 gifts, scholarships, and health insurance cards have been given to humanitarian addresses and beneficiaries in the past 2 days.

The Red Cross Society of Ward 5 (Da Lat City) organized a Humanitarian Market, giving 30 gifts, worth 1 million VND each, to 30 extremely disadvantaged households from the budget of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ward 5. In addition, the Humanitarian Market with 12 types of food and household goods was given to 50 disadvantaged households, each gift worth 500 thousand VND. It was given to 8 humanitarian addresses (currently sponsored by organizations and individuals every month) with a total amount of 12.8 million VND.

Ward 5 Red Cross also coordinated with Vuong Xa Pagoda to distribute 200 gifts and cash (500,000 VND/gift) to disadvantaged households, with a total value of 100 million VND.

The Red Cross of Ward 2 has mobilized benefactors to share 10 scholarships for disadvantaged students at An Duong Vuong Primary School (Ward 2, Da Lat), each worth 500,000 VND and 100 cakes. At the same time, 40 gifts were supported for disadvantaged local people, with a total value of 20 million VND.

Ward 4 Red Cross Association coordinated with Huong Quang and Lam Ty Ni pagodas to distribute 300 gifts, worth a total of 150 million VND, to disadvantaged people in the area.

Continuing the Humanitarian Month activities, the Red Cross Association of Trai Mat Primary School mobilized benefactors to support and present 46 gifts to students in difficult circumstances, worth more than 23 million VND.

The Red Cross Society of Tay Son Secondary and High School presented health insurance cards to 26 students in difficult circumstances and 5 scholarships, with a total cost of more than 25 million VND.

The Red Cross Society of Ward 1 (Da Lat) held a ceremony to celebrate the 162nd anniversary of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on May 8, through which it presented 7 humanitarian addresses with the amount of 10 million VND, awarded 25 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances (each worth 400,000 VND), and presented 25 gifts to families in difficult circumstances worth 12.5 million VND.
