At the same time, educational institutions assign teachers and management staff to take care of preschool children and students when parents have not yet arrived to pick them up, ensuring absolute safety for students.
For ethnic boarding and semi-boarding schools, the Department requires strengthening management and student care, not allowing students to leave school without permission when safety conditions are not guaranteed. Private universities and vocational training institutions must proactively decide on students' studies based on the actual situation.
The Department of Education and Training requires units to seriously implement the direction of the City People's Committee, the Department's and local guidelines on natural disaster prevention and control; regularly update the situation of storms and heavy rains; maintain contact through many information channels to promptly notify students, parents, teachers and workers to proactively respond. When incidents or problems arise, units must immediately report to the Department of Education and Training and local leaders for handling instructions.
The decision to let students stay home from school due to flooding and landslides in localities is implemented according to Official Dispatch No. 1788/SGDĐT-VP, dated October 21, 2025 of the Department of Education and Training on proactively responding to storm No. 12. After the storm, units proactively organize cleaning and sanitizing schools when the water recedes and the rain stops so that students can return to normal study soon.
