On October 23, the National Assembly discussed five draft laws, including the Press Law (amended).

According to the meeting agenda, on October 23, the National Assembly will hear the Presentation on 5 draft laws, including the draft Press Law (amended).

In the morning session, the National Assembly heard the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court present the draft Law on Bankruptcy (amended). Following that, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam , authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the draft Law on Deposit Insurance (amended).

After the National Assembly heard the presentation, the Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee presented the verification report on two draft laws: the Bankruptcy Law (amended); and the Deposit Insurance Law (amended).

Next, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the draft Law on the Press (amended). The Minister of Health, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the drafts on two projects: the Law on Population; and the Law on Disease Prevention.

The Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Social Affairs presented the verification report on three draft laws: the amended Press Law; the Population Law; and the Law on Disease Prevention.

Subsequently, the National Assembly spent the late morning and the entire afternoon discussing in groups the following: the draft Law on Bankruptcy (amended); the draft Law on Deposit Insurance (amended); the draft Law on the Press (amended); the draft Law on Population; and the draft Law on Disease Prevention.

Earlier in the group session on the afternoon of October 22, the National Assembly discussed: the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Education; the draft Law on Higher Education (amended); and the draft Law on Vocational Education (amended).
