
Commune leaders inspected areas that are often deeply flooded and at risk of isolation, such as: An Thanh 3 village (12 households, 40 people), An Thanh 2 village (55 households, nearly 190 people), An Thai village (200 households, 800 people), Bala stream section and DH17 route from Dong Xuan village (Thang Dien commune) to Thai Dong village (Thang Truong commune), where the water level is expected to be 1 - 1.3m high, about 200m long.
According to reports from the villages, people proactively relocated to solid houses, prepared life jackets and small boats to cope with prolonged heavy rains. Commune leaders advised people not to be subjective, to stock up on food and necessities and immediately contact the village chief or on-duty officer in case of emergency.
Commune leaders require working groups to regularly check vulnerable points and prepare timely rescue plans.
Localities have increased propaganda on social networks and loudspeaker systems so that people can proactively grasp information and ensure safety in all situations.
By 5:00 p.m. on October 22, Thang Dien commune completed preparations to respond to storm No. 12 and heavy rain.
