Da Nang invests more than 12 billion VND to renovate the sidewalk of Nhu Nguyet street

DNO - From September 3, Da Nang city began renovating the sidewalk of Nhu Nguyet street (Hai Chau ward).

On August 29, the Department of Construction announced information on the project to overcome the impact of storms, high tides, and waves on Nhu Nguyet Street.

The project is invested by the Department of Construction with a total investment of about 12.4 billion VND from the 2025 public investment fund. The construction contractor is Nam Vinh Joint Stock Company; the supervising consultant is the Da Nang Infrastructure Maintenance Board.

The project belongs to group C, traffic works, level IV, and is implemented to repair damaged sidewalks; improve the drainage system; supplement and raise the structure of the top of the embankment wall in the shape of a wave-sweeping nose to overcome the effects of storms, high tides, and the impact of sea waves on Nhu Nguyet Street, ensuring urban aesthetics and creating a highlight for the area.

The project is expected to start on September 3, 2025 and be completed on November 27, 2025.

In recent years, when the weather is bad, the sidewalk of the Han River on Nhu Nguyet Street near Thuan Phuoc Bridge in Hai Chau Ward is often washed away by large waves from Da Nang Bay, the tiled floor is torn up, the lamp posts and railings are damaged...
