
Tourists on the first flight from Tashkent to Da Nang were warmly welcomed by representatives of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, Da Nang International Airport, International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company and the operating unit with a water cannon ceremony, traditional art program, flowers and souvenirs.
Passengers expressed their impression of the city's warm welcome; and were eager to explore typical destinations, including famous beaches, and experience the unique culture and cuisine of Da Nang.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong - Chairwoman of Prestige DMC Vietnam Company said that the charter flight from Tashkent to Da Nang is operated by Prestige DMC Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited in coordination with Red Island Company, Centrium-Air Airways and Prestige Travel Uzbekistan, starting from April 27 to October 31, 2025.
In the initial phase, the flight will operate with a frequency of 1 flight/week. It is expected that from June 2025, it will increase to 2 flights/week to meet the increasing travel demand between the two cities.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, following the success of the direct flight from Almaty (Kazakhstan) to Da Nang, the opening of an additional flight from Tashkent (Uzbekistan) affirms the attractiveness of Da Nang to the potential market of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
This is a testament to the city's continuous efforts in expanding its international network, opening up opportunities to welcome new visitors from this potential region. Previously, from April 23 to 25, 2025, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City participated in the KITF International Tourism Fair in Kazakhstan to promote destinations, introduce tourism products and connect with partners from the CIS market.
"The tourist market from CIS countries, especially from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, is showing growth in 2025 with about 10,000 visitors/month from April to October 2025," said Ms. An.
The operation of the route from Tashkent to Da Nang has increased the total number of flights/week from the CIS region to Da Nang to 11. It is expected that from June 3, 2025, Air Astana will start operating the route from Almaty (Kazakhstan) to Da Nang with a frequency of 4 flights/week.
