To fully introduce the potential and advantages of the Financial Centers of Da Nang City and Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang will organize the Workshop "Developing an International Financial Center in Vietnam" in January 2025.

The Steering Committee for the Construction and Development of the Da Nang City Financial Center has just held its first meeting to assign tasks and deploy the implementation plan for the construction of a regional and international financial center in Vietnam.

Previously, the Da Nang City Party Committee issued a Decision to establish the Steering Committee for the construction and development of the Da Nang City Financial Center (Steering Committee 47) with the Secretary of the City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang as Head of the Steering Committee.

At the first meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang requested members of Steering Committee 47 and the Steering Committee 47 Support Team to proactively and urgently implement tasks and solutions according to the proposed Plan.

Da Nang City established a Steering Committee for the construction and development of the Financial Center.

The city focuses on building domestic and international communication work; paying attention to promoting the Financial Centers in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, which are identified as two independent Financial Centers, with different functions and tasks and supporting each other in development.

The Secretary of Da Nang also proposed to soon complete the conditions on deployment location, connection infrastructure, digital infrastructure to introduce and attract strategic investors; soon have a plan to train human resources to serve the Financial Center.

It is expected that in January 2025, Da Nang City will organize the Workshop "Developing an International Financial Center in Vietnam".

Secretary of Da Nang, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang requested the Steering Committee 47's Support Team and departments to actively coordinate to ensure the organization of a solemn, professional, international-scale Conference to fully introduce the potential and advantages of both the Da Nang City and Ho Chi Minh City Financial Centers.

Previously, the Government issued a Resolution on the action plan to implement the Politburo 's conclusion on building a regional and international financial center in Vietnam.

According to Notice No. 47-TB/TW concluding on the construction of a regional and international financial center in Vietnam, the Politburo has agreed in principle to establish a comprehensive international financial center in Ho Chi Minh City and a regional financial center in Da Nang.
