On October 6, in Jakarta, Indonesia, the Da Nang Department of Tourism coordinated with the Indonesian Travel Association to organize a program to introduce Da Nang tourism to local people.
Attending the event were: Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Ta Van Thong, and more than 100 guests representing airlines and travel agencies from both sides.
At the event, representatives of the Da Nang Department of Tourism introduced typical tourism products of Da Nang, focusing on promoting products that suit the tastes of Indonesian visitors such as MICE tourism (tourism combined with seminars, conferences, and incentives), golf, eco-tourism, exploring cultural heritages, cuisine , night entertainment services and outstanding events and festivals of the city.
Emphasizing the significance of this activity, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Chi Cuong emphasized that the Da Nang tourism promotion program in Jakarta, Indonesia is an opportunity for businesses from both sides to exchange information, open up many opportunities for cooperation, connection, and promote the opening of flights from Indonesia to Da Nang in the near future. Thereby, contributing to the development and growth of the economy in general and the tourism industry between Vietnam and Indonesia.
Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong said that recently, a large number of Indonesian tourists have come to visit and relax in Da Nang. Although they do not account for a large proportion of the international tourist market structure in Da Nang, this is one of the potential markets that Da Nang tourism is particularly interested in.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Ta Van Thong said that Da Nang is a beautiful city with tourism products that suit the tastes of the Indonesian tourist market. To promote the rapid opening of direct flights from Indonesia to Da Nang, as well as to enhance the exchange of visitors between the two sides, the Embassy will actively coordinate and support the city in connecting with aviation and travel partners in Indonesia.
At the program, representatives of Da Nang city leaders and Da Nang city Department of Tourism and related units exchanged and answered questions from Indonesian travel businesses.
In particular, Indonesian travel businesses are particularly interested in Da Nang's policy of supporting MICE groups and hope that the city will soon promote the opening of direct flights from Indonesia to Da Nang, while also requesting that Da Nang add more prayer rooms and invest in restaurants with Halal certification to serve Muslim market customers.
On this occasion, the Da Nang City Tourism Association and the Indonesian Tourism Association signed a cooperation agreement, linking the exchange of tourist resources between the two sides and promoting the Indonesia - Da Nang flight route./.
