The islands urgently reinforced disaster prevention works; checked communication and storm notification systems; and stocked up on food, fresh water, and essential supplies. The shelter system was open 24/7, ready to receive people and vehicles for shelter.
At the ports of Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton, Truong Sa, Da Tay, Nam Yet, Phan Vinh... there were more than 200 fishing boats, with over 2,500 fishermen anchored safely. Officers and soldiers supported accommodation, provided more than 20,000 liters of fresh water and necessities, helping people feel secure during the complicated storm.
The Special Zone continues to intensify propaganda, requiring fishermen to absolutely not enter dangerous areas; coordinate with the Border Guard and on-duty forces to promptly call on boats to take shelter. Currently, forces on the archipelago strictly maintain on-duty regime, continuously update storm developments, issue weather reports and proactively implement all rescue plans, determined not to be passive or surprised.
