Truong Sa Special Zone has Chairman and Vice Chairman of People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term

On August 9, the leader of the Department of Home Affairs of Khanh Hoa province said that the unit had announced the Resolution of the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province on the appointment of the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Sa special zone for the 2021-2026 term.

According to information on VOV, according to the resolution signed by Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council Nguyen Khac Toan, the Standing Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council has decided to appoint Mr. Pham Thanh Liem - Deputy Brigade Commander of Brigade 146, Naval Region 4 - to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Sa Special Zone, term 2021 - 2026.

Mr. Can Ngoc Son - Commander of Truong Sa Island, Brigade 146, Naval Region 4 - was appointed to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Sa Special Zone.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council assigned the Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Sa Special Zone, the Chief of Office of the People's Council and the People's Committee of Truong Sa Special Zone, together with relevant agencies and designated personnel to implement the Resolution, which takes effect from July 24, 2025.

The decision of the Standing Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council to appoint Mr. Pham Thanh Liem and Mr. Can Ngoc Son to hold leadership positions of the People's Committee of Truong Sa Special Zone is based on the Constitution, Law on Organization of Local Government No. 72/2025/QH15 and the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Khanh Hoa province in 2025.

At the same time, based on the guidance of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the implementation of a number of contents on the organization and operation of the People's Councils at the provincial and communal levels for the 2021-2026 term after the 2025 administrative unit arrangement, and the conclusion of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the above-mentioned related issues.

Truong Sa Special Zone is formed on the basis of the entire natural area and population size of Truong Sa town, Song Tu Tay commune and Sinh Ton commune.

Truong Sa Special Zone is located in the South of the East Sea, 480km from Cam Ranh Peninsula (Khanh Hoa Province). This is an island area with a particularly important geographical strategic position under the sovereignty of Vietnam.

According to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the appearance of Truong Sa special economic zone is being renewed every day, becoming more spacious and solid with many modern investment projects and works.
