Highlights of the street festival 'Vinh Long - Convergence of colors - Aspiration to reach far'

(PLVN) - On the evening of May 1, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province organized the first Street Festival with the theme "Vinh Long - Converging colors - Aspiration to reach far".

This is a colorful cultural and artistic activity within the series of activities of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week of Vinh Long province in 2025. Thereby, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for people inside and outside the province; contributing to introducing the history, culture and people of Vinh Long to visitors from near and far; focusing on promoting and advertising the province's cultural and tourism products and potentials; creating conditions for exchange and cooperation in developing culture and tourism between Vinh Long and other provinces and cities in the country.

People and tourists enjoy immersing themselves in the festival atmosphere.

This street festival brings together images of unique cultural heritages, from traditional craft villages, folk arts to other diverse cultural colors. The festival carries the breath of Vinh Long, which is changing strongly with the aspiration to develop quickly - sustainably - far.

Mr. Pham Minh Hoang - Acting Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province said that the Vinh Long Street Festival is a street festival performance program, contemporary folk performances, and community interaction with the participation of more than 1,500 people. The festival consists of 2 chapters showing the beauty and the intersection of traditional and modern cultural values, honoring the identity of the Mekong Delta region, and at the same time expressing the aspiration to develop and reach out to the world .

Chapter 1 has the theme: "Vinh Long - Convergence of Colors" with the costumes of historical figures, scholars, Confucian scholars, and women from the South - those who contributed to the history of Vinh Long and the costumes showing the beauty of craft villages, traditional arts, and ethnic costumes showing the intersection of ethnic colors.

The image of Confucian scholars, scholars, and patriotic writers of the past created the heroic tradition of Vinh Long.

Chapter 2 with the theme: "Vinh Long aspires to reach far" is the presentation of the content Vinh Long - green economy, Vinh Long - Dynamic integration - Digital transformation... showing a Vinh Long province full of energy on the path of integration, creativity, sustainable development and aspiration to enter a new era.
