“Global Vietnamese Singing 2025” connects love and looks back to the roots

(PLVN) - With the "Global Vietnamese Singing Contest", Vietnamese people all over the world can indulge their passion for singing, both showing off their talents and honoring the values ​​imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity, preserving and conserving Vietnamese identity, connecting love, and looking back to their roots.

“Global Vietnamese Singing” is a contest to find good voices for Vietnamese people around the world , held for the first time in 2023. In addition to the purpose of finding good voices that can become professional singers, the contest is also a playground for those who love singing to exchange, learn and shine on stage in their own way.

“Global Vietnamese Singing 2025” is open to all Vietnamese citizens from 16 to 60 years old, with no criminal record, good health, no medical history and no professional or amateur limits. Anyone with singing talent and passion for singing can participate.

The new point of this year’s competition is that it does not exploit contestants from Europe like the previous two seasons, but focuses entirely on Vietnam. Accordingly, the award-winning contestants have the opportunity to gain practical experience through European tours, performing for overseas Vietnamese to develop their abilities.

This year, the contest will apply many new platforms such as interactive livestream, behind-the-scenes video production, contestant diaries to reach young audiences on Facebook Reel, TikTok platforms... Our goal is to create a modern, fair and accessible playground for the public," said Head of the Organizing Committee Henry Nguyen.

With an experienced panel of judges such as musician Luu Thien Huong (Head of the Panel), famous singer Y Lan, famous singer Manh Dinh, “Queen of Rock” Ngoc Anh, singer Sy Luan, singer Giang Hong Ngoc, pipa artist Vu Dieu Thao…, the competition promises to bring a professional and colorful journey. The competition’s coaching panel includes: Singer Sy Luan (Head of the coaching panel), singer Giang Hong Ngoc (Deputy Head of the coaching panel), “Queen of Rock” Ngoc Anh, famous singer Manh Dinh, musician Duong Truong Giang, singer Mai Lan and organizer Henry Nguyen.

The contest will award 1 Champion and 2 Runner-up prizes for each genre: Romantic (Old Music, Bolero...), Folk - Red Music, Light Music (Pop, Rock, R&B...). In addition, there are other awards such as: Most Favorite Contestant Award, Promising Contestant Award, Jury's Choice Award, Impressive Performance Award, National Identity Honor Award...

Head of the Organizing Committee Henry Nguyen emphasized: “We expect to see voices that can tell stories - tell them with heart and true passion. Each voice is a precious gem, the Organizing Committee's mission is to find them and help them shine.”

The “Global Vietnamese Singing Contest 2025” will go through 4 rounds: Preliminary, Semi-final, Final and Final ranking. From 80 excellent contestants after the Preliminary and Semi-final rounds, 40 contestants will participate in the Final round, taking place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The Final Ranking Night with the 20 best voices is scheduled to be held on October 18, 2025 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace (Hanoi).
