The final round of the 2025 Thinking Assessment exam was held on April 26-27 with nearly 24,000 candidates registering at 30 testing locations.

The highest score of the third round belongs to the candidate from Do Luong 3 High School ( Nghe An ) with 91.29/100 points. This round has 2 candidates with over 90 points; 106 candidates with over 80 points; 1,257 candidates with over 70 points. The average score of the third round in 2025 is 54.89/100.

The results of the Thinking Assessment Test will be used in university admissions in 2025 with more than 40 schools registering to use it. The plan to convert the standard score (admission score) between different starting points (including high school graduation exam scores, thinking assessment test scores, and talent admission scores) is expected to be announced after the 2025 high school graduation exam scores are available.

The formula for calculating admission scores based on the thinking assessment test scores is as follows: Admission score = (TSA test score + Bonus points) + Priority points.

In which: Bonus points for candidates with foreign language certificates according to regulations of Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Priority points for subjects and regions according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

For example: Candidate A has a score of 55.36 in the thinking assessment test, has an IELTS certificate of 8.0 (7 bonus points), and is in region 1 (+0.75 on a scale of 30), then the admission score based on the thinking assessment test score will be:

Candidate B achieved a thinking assessment score of 73.68, has an IELTS certificate of 6.5 (bonus 4 points), the candidate is from rural area 2 (+0.5 on a scale of 30), then the admission score based on the TSA test score will be:

This candidate comes from Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, the same school as the top scorer of the first round.
