Reporting to the working delegation, the representative of Ho Chi Minh City National University said that, implementing Resolution 45-NQ/TW (8th term) on continuing to build and promote the role of the intellectual team to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period, Ho Chi Minh City National University issued Resolution No. 19-NQ/DU on attracting, retaining and developing excellent young scientists and leading scientists working at this unit with the goal of attracting 350 scientists (VNU350 Program).
After the first three recruitment rounds, the VNU350 Program has attracted 27 scientists, including 7 scientists who graduated from the world's top 100 universities to work at Ho Chi Minh City National University.

In particular, the Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University signed a decision to issue a Visiting Professor Program to attract and promote cooperation with outstanding experts and scientists in the world, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and research.
By April, the Advisory Board of the Visiting Professor Program at Ho Chi Minh City National University had approved a list of 16 international professors and experts from many of the world's leading prestigious universities such as Harvard Medical School (USA), University of Toronto (Canada), Technical University of Munich (Germany)...
In order to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, Ho Chi Minh City National University has issued Action Program No. 33-CTr/DU (Action Program 57) throughout the system to create breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation development.

To effectively implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW, Ho Chi Minh City National University proposes that the Government allow the registration to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW through the Program "Improving training capacity and basic scientific research integrated with strategic technology at Ho Chi Minh City National University, achieving advanced levels, on par with the region and the world, period 2025-2030, vision to 2045".
With the desire to accompany the development of Ho Chi Minh City to become a leading center for research, development, application of science, technology and digital transformation in Asia, approaching the group of 50 leading cities in the world in innovation, Ho Chi Minh City National University recommends that Ho Chi Minh City soon build a specific mechanism in ordering training, research and supporting investment in developing the Smart University Urban Area at Ho Chi Minh City National University, and at the same time allocate annual funding to carry out these activities.
In addition, this unit recommends that relevant ministries and branches promptly issue practical support policies to promote the effective implementation of the goals set out in Resolution 45-NQ/TW and Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Huynh Thanh Dat said that recently, the Party and State have issued many major policies to develop the intellectual team, promoting the role of scientific and technological knowledge in the cause of national development.

In particular, Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW are very important orientations in the current period.
