On June 11-12, the Party Committee of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality held the 10th Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. In the context that the whole country is striving towards the goal of rapid and sustainable development, preparing for the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Congress is an important occasion for the Party Committee to look back on the past and orient development in the new term.
Comrade Ha Minh Hiep, Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality spoke at the Congress.
At the Congress, Comrade Ha Minh Hiep, Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality, presented the Political Report for the 2020-2025 term, emphasizing the need to innovate leadership thinking and propose specific development solutions in the coming time. The Congress not only evaluates the results of the past term, but is also an opportunity to clearly define the goals and tasks for the 2025-2030 term, contributing to building a strong Party organization to meet the requirements of the new period.
During the past term, despite facing difficulties from the COVID-19 pandemic and many fluctuations in the world economy , the Party Committee of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality has completed the national standards system, creating a solid legal framework for the industry. Standardization, measurement and conformity assessment activities have contributed to improving the quality of Vietnamese products and enhancing the competitiveness of domestic goods.
Towards the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality aims to build a clean and strong Party Committee, while improving quality management capacity in the fields of production, trade and services. Action programs will focus on: Innovating leadership methods, improving the effectiveness of direction and management; Building a team of high-quality staff, ensuring solid ethics and expertise; Promoting the role of enterprises, encouraging enterprises to participate in research and development of science and technology, creating sustainable value for the national economy.
To realize these goals, the Party Committee will synchronously deploy solutions, including perfecting the system of legal documents, applying digital technology in management, and strengthening political and ideological education to raise awareness and responsibility of Party members.
Comrade Ha Minh Hiep expressed his belief that, with high determination, the Party Committee of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality will continue to reap success in the new term, actively contributing to sustainable development, building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
Comrade Tran Duc Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of the Financial Planning Department of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality spoke at the Congress.
During the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Tran Duc Thang delivered an important speech, assessing the achievements in the 2020-2025 term and pointing out challenges and development directions in the new term. He emphasized the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the digital economy, affirming that the industry has made efforts to overcome difficulties to achieve many significant advances. In addition, the Party Committee also needs to improve inspection and supervision work to ensure optimal effectiveness of action programs, and called for improving leadership capacity and promoting staff training.
Comrade Le Huong Giang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, spoke at the Congress.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Comrade Le Huong Giang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, highly appreciated the Political Report of the Party Committee of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality; affirmed the important role of the Party Committee in the innovation and modernization of national quality infrastructure. At the same time, she gave some major orientations for the Party Committee of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality in the new term:
i) Standards and Regulations "one step ahead": As a foundation for innovation, consumer and environmental protection, it is necessary to build a flexible, internationally harmonized technical standards system, especially in new fields such as artificial intelligence, new energy, biotechnology and green - smart infrastructure.
ii) Digital transformation is the driving force for development: Promote the implementation of national databases on standards, measurement, quality, application of digital technology in market monitoring and smart measurement.
iii) Enterprises are the center: The State plays a creative role, supporting enterprises to improve productivity, quality and promote standardization in the supply chain.
iv) Building a team of high-quality staff: Especially young staff with international vision, public ethics and technological thinking, need investment in training and development.
v) Building a clean and strong Party organization: Linking Party work with professional efficiency, improving leadership capacity and maintaining discipline and order.
Comrade Le Huong Giang expressed her belief that the Congress will be a great success, and that the new Executive Committee will have enough qualities and leadership capacity to successfully carry out the political tasks of the Party Committee.
The Congress listened to many in-depth reports, providing multi-dimensional perspectives and important directions. The Congress ended successfully with the launch of the Party Executive Committee of the 10th term of the Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality, 2025-2030.
