On January 22, in Ha Giang , General Luong Cuong, Politburo member, Standing member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and the working delegation of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army came to offer incense and lay wreaths in memory of heroic martyrs at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery and visited, wished a happy New Year, and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Thanh Thuy International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Ha Giang Provincial Border Guard Command.
The delegation included leaders of Ha Giang province, leaders of Military Region 2 and representatives of agencies and units of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

At Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, before the heroic martyrs' souls, the delegation offered wreaths and burned incense to express deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs and vowed absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; determined to contribute more strength and intelligence to the cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam; building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and gradually modern Vietnam People's Army.

Visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to officers and soldiers of Thanh Thuy International Border Gate Border Guard Station, on behalf of the Central Military Commission, the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, General Luong Cuong highly appreciated the Party Committee and Command of Thanh Thuy International Border Gate Border Guard Station for closely following the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and Command of the Border Guard of Ha Giang province in the past time, performing well the presiding and specialized functions in managing and protecting the territorial sovereignty and national border security.
The Party Committee, the Command Board of the Station and all officers and soldiers are always united, unanimous, creative, highly determined, striving to overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully completing all assigned tasks, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border; creating favorable conditions for people to do business at the border gate area in accordance with regulations.

To successfully complete the tasks in 2024, General Luong Cuong requested the Party Committee and the Command Board of the Station to focus on building a high level of solidarity and unity throughout the unit, first of all in the Party Committee and Command Board; building a team of officers and soldiers with good qualities, ethics, capacity and high responsibility; strictly comply with discipline and the law; absolutely do not let subjects entice, bribe, corrupt, and negative, especially in separate working groups, far from the unit, checkpoints, border gates...
In addition, the Party Committee and the Command of the Border Post need to focus on grasping and accurately forecasting all developments of the border situation to promptly advise the Party Committee, the Provincial Border Guard Command, the District Party Committee and the People's Committee of Vi Xuyen district to have appropriate and effective policies and countermeasures, not to be passive or surprised in any situation, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developing border.

General Luong Cuong noted that on the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year, Thanh Thuy International Border Post needs to organize a warm, healthy, safe, economical and suitable Tet holiday for officers and soldiers; ensure full regimes and standards for officers and soldiers during Tet; pay special attention and take full care of comrades on duty at groups and posts on the border; strictly maintain combat readiness regimes, organize patrols and guard closely, and absolutely not be subjective or lose vigilance.
At the same time, the unit needs to do a good job of maintaining security and order and effectively combating all types of crimes, especially drug crimes, smuggling, trade fraud, illegal immigration; strictly comply with discipline and laws, ensure safety during Tet, "enjoy spring but do not forget your duties"; do a good job of organizing officers and soldiers to go to the area to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet with the people; coordinate with localities to take care of Tet for policy families, poor households, ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances in the area... to truly be a solid support for people in border areas.
