At the meeting, the Central Military Commission's Inspection Commission elected Major General Dang Van Long to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Central Military Commission's Inspection Commission for the 2020-2025 term; and also considered and proposed to the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission disciplinary action against cadres and Party members who violated the law and discipline.
Concluding the meeting, General Nguyen Trong Nghia instructed the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission's Inspection Commission to incorporate the feedback received and promptly finalize the documents for submission to the Central Military Commission's Standing Committee.
In the coming period, the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission's Inspection Commission will continue to lead and direct the innovation and improvement of the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the Party's inspection, supervision, and disciplinary enforcement work; proactively develop programs and plans and comprehensively implement the tasks of inspection, supervision, and disciplinary enforcement within the Party and the Army, ensuring strict adherence to principles, procedures, and regulations.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized the need to continue strongly innovating the thinking, methods, and ways of organizing and implementing inspection and supervision work in accordance with the directive of General Secretary To Lam at the working session with the Central Inspection Committee on May 22: “Shifting the focus to prevention and warning of violations; inspection and supervision not only to detect and handle violations but, first and foremost, to maintain discipline, prevent and keep Party organizations and Party members from deviating from the right path, contributing to the serious and effective implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies.”
"Shift from a passive to an active approach, firmly grasping the situation, leaving no 'gaps' or 'dark areas' that the Party's inspection and supervision work cannot reach; build an effective supervision mechanism capable of early warning and preventing violations at the grassroots level, preventing small violations from accumulating into major offenses."
The Chairman of the Central Military Commission's Inspection Commission also noted the importance of effectively implementing regular and thematic supervision, with a focus on regular supervision and monitoring the implementation of conclusions following inspections and supervisions.
He requested that the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission's Inspection Commission strengthen its monitoring, detection, and investigation of violations; promptly and strictly resolve complaints and denunciations in a timely manner, while strengthening education and management of ideological matters and exemplary conduct; and proactively consolidate personnel according to the new organizational structure and staffing plan of the Central Military Commission's Inspection Commission.
