After listening to the reports and comments of the delegates, concluding the conference, General Phan Van Giang requested the General Staff to direct the relevant agencies to coordinate with the Border Guard Command to continue to carefully review, develop plans, and urgently conduct field surveys to grasp the terrain and border security situation. From there, research, adjust, and arrange additional border posts and stations in accordance with the requirements of the task of managing and protecting the national border security and territorial sovereignty, in accordance with the Party and State's policy on rearranging the apparatus of the political system, reorganizing administrative units at all levels and the Central Military Commission's Project on rearranging the local military organization to be "sleek, compact, and strong" to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.
