Hanoi continues to have very heavy rain, warning of flooding in inner city areas

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Hanoi is currently experiencing moderate to heavy rain.

The meteorological agency warned that in the next 3-6 hours, Hanoi's inner city and surrounding areas will continue to have heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 20-40mm, in some places over 60mm.

This rain is likely to cause flooding on many streets with a common depth of 15-20cm; some streets are likely to be flooded deeper with a depth of 20-40cm including:

According to the meteorological agency, during this rain, the streets are only flooded during periods of heavy rain and will drain away 30-60 minutes after the rain ends.

Due to heavy rain, traffic on deeply flooded streets will be affected, there may be local congestion or many vehicles have difficulty moving. Therefore, experts recommend that people should regularly monitor weather updates to have a suitable travel route in case they need to go out.
