On March 24, a leader of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that the Provincial People's Committee has just sent a letter calling on ethnic minorities in Dak Lak who are illegally residing in Thailand to voluntarily return to Vietnam.

Từ năm 2020 đến nay, chính quyền các cấp tỉnh Đắk Lắk đã tổ chức tuyên truyền, vận động, tạo điều kiện cho 42 người hồi hương về Việt Nam đoàn tụ với gia đình.
Since 2020, authorities at all levels of Dak Lak province have organized propaganda, mobilized, and created conditions for 42 people to return to Vietnam to reunite with their families.

According to the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, recently, for various reasons, many people in Dak Lak listened to some bad people who lured, enticed, sold their assets, left their hometowns and families to illegally settle in Thailand with the illusion of having a happy life and high income...

However, when arriving in Thailand, people face many difficulties, mainly living in temporary boarding houses, lacking minimum living conditions, working as hired laborers in heavy jobs, not knowing Thai, children not going to school, difficult medical conditions, some law violators are handled by the Royal Thai Police for illegal residence.

Implementing the lenient policy of the Party and State, the spirit of "mutual love and affection" of the great national solidarity bloc, from 2020 to present, the authorities at all levels of Dak Lak province have organized propaganda, mobilized, and created conditions for 42 people to return to Vietnam to reunite with their relatives and families. Although they had previously violated the law on entry and exit, when returning to their localities, the people were not subject to administrative or criminal sanctions, and were visited, encouraged, and supported with initial necessities by authorities at all levels and social organizations, and created conditions to enjoy support policies on jobs, employment, and family economic development... Since then, these people have soon stabilized their lives.

With the spirit of solidarity and the motto of "leaving no one behind", the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee calls on people residing illegally in Thailand to voluntarily return to Vietnam. The government and functional forces will not discriminate, create favorable conditions, support and help people reunite with their families, villages, and hamlets, stabilize their lives and develop the economy.

Relatives of families with illegal residents in Thailand are requested to contact local authorities and police in the commune where they reside for guidance and support.
