The Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province has just approved the admission scores and number of students admitted to grade 10 of public high schools organizing entrance exams for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the decision approving the admission scores and number of successful candidates, 9 public high schools held exams with low entrance scores.

The highest are 2 schools: Buon Ma Thuot High School and Le Quy Don High School (Buon Ma Thuot city), with an entrance standard score of 15.75 points. The remaining schools have a standard score of only 5-6 points for 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language).

Cu M'gar High School (Cu M'gar district) is 6.0 points; Ea H'leo High School (Ea H'leo district) is 6.0 points; Ngo Gia Tu High School (Ea Kar district) is 5.5 points; Nguyen Binh Khiem High School (Krong Pac district) is 5.25 points...

Despite the low admission scores, many schools still failed to meet their enrollment targets. Specifically, the total number of students admitted to the nine public schools above is 3,893. Meanwhile, the total enrollment target assigned by the provincial Department of Education and Training is 4,572 students. The number of students who have not been admitted is still 679 students short of the target.

Schools that lacked a large number of targets include: Krong Ana High School (Krong Ana district) was assigned to enroll 484 students but only recruited 292 students, short of 192 students; Krong Ana Phan Boi Chau High School (Krong Nang district) was assigned to enroll 440 students but only recruited 261 students, short of 179 students...

According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, schools that have not yet recruited enough students will be recruited based on regulations. For students who fail the exam, they have a second option of considering their transcripts at another school in the same area.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Dak Lak province will innovate the method of admission to grade 10 of high school. In addition to specialized educational institutions, the province will expand the form of entrance exams to 9 public high schools, bringing the total number of schools organizing entrance exams to 12/53 schools.

The above admission method will overcome the limitations and shortcomings of the admission method as in previous years; at the same time, it will ensure the goal of dividing students into the right groups, avoiding the case of students with good results but unable to study in the public high school system and vice versa.

This year, Dak Lak province has more than 28,000 students registering for grade 10 of high school with an enrollment target of more than 21,000 students./.
