Ensuring facilities for the 2023 high school graduation exam

DTO - In the 2023 high school graduation exam in Dong Thap province, 15,673 candidates registered to take the exam (560 more candidates than in 2022). To facilitate candidates and the invigilators at the exam sites, the Departmentof Education and Training, the People's Committees of districts and cities, and the Board of Directors of high schools with exam sites have carefully prepared facilities and related content to support candidates.

My Quy High School (Thap Muoi district) is 1 of 3 new testing locations for candidates.

Based on the favorable situation when setting up the Examination Sites from 2018 - 2022, the Department of Education and Training advised the Provincial People's Committee when arranging the Examination Sites of the 2023 High School Graduation Exam to basically remain the same as in 2022 and be held in all 12 districts and cities in the province. Accordingly, 3 new Examination Sites will be added at Thong Linh High School (Cao Lanh District); My Qui High School (Thap Muoi District) and Thanh Binh 2 High School (Thanh Binh District).

Up to now, the facilities at 35 examination sites have been fully prepared by the Board of Directors of high schools to serve the examination according to the examination regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training . In the 2023 high school graduation exam, Thong Linh High School is one of the 3 new examination sites in the province. To ensure good service for candidates and the Examination Council at the examination site, the school's Board of Directors has inspected and repaired the facilities. Specifically, the school repaired the fence system around the school campus, inspected fire prevention and fighting equipment, repaired lights, fans, tables and chairs. Prepared enough main and backup examination rooms, rooms for candidates' belongings, and offices of the Examination Council according to regulations; equipped with camera systems, telephones, and internet to serve reporting work during the exam days...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hanh - Principal of Thong Linh High School (Cao Lanh District), said: "Up to this point, the school has basically prepared the facilities to serve the exam safely and seriously. Other issues such as: organizing propaganda to parents, teachers and students to know the new scores in the exam at the year-end meeting. In addition, to support candidates in the upcoming exam, the school has organized a meeting with parents of grade 12 students to discuss solutions to help them. In particular, focusing on guiding students on review methods, eating and resting properly; solutions to pick up and drop off students to ensure safety during exam days. In addition, the school also organizes psychological counseling sessions for students during the exam review period; coordinates with local units to develop plans to support lunch breaks and provide timely assistance when students have difficulties. Thereby, helping candidates taking the exam at Thong Linh High School exam site feel secure and participate in the exam with high results. best".

At the My Quy High School Examination Site (Thap Muoi District), in recent days, the School Board has urgently completed the facilities for the exam and cleaned the entire school to prepare for the full arrangement of equipment and supplies according to regulations. In particular, focusing on arranging tables and chairs in the examination rooms, the examination room, ensuring safety, with cabinets, surveillance cameras, recording 24/7, and installing backup batteries. Prepare sound systems, desktop computers and phones with speakers. At the same time, check and complete the fence system around the school, fire prevention and fighting plans, arrange backup generators... The School Board conducts a survey of living conditions around the school such as: eating and resting places... to provide information and support teachers when they come to work at the Examination Site.

To facilitate the movement of candidates during the exam period, the Board of Directors of high schools with exam locations has deployed a review and list of information and phone numbers of students with difficult circumstances in terms of learning and transportation conditions to coordinate with the Parents' Representative Board to have a plan to support candidates to arrive at the exam locations on time. In addition, teachers who are not involved in the exam will be assigned to act as a contact bridge and be ready to support candidates during the exam days. At the same time, homeroom teachers are directed to regularly remind and encourage students to focus on reviewing knowledge and stabilizing their mental state to best prepare for the exam; disseminate to candidates the regulations in the exam room, especially the items allowed to be brought into the exam room...
