Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch directing departments, branches, districts, towns and cities to ensure a safe living environment to prevent accidents, injuries and drowning for children.

Accordingly, departments, branches, sectors and localities continue to effectively implement Directive 28 dated December 25, 2023 of the Politburo on strengthening the care, education and protection of children to meet the requirements of developing a prosperous and happy country; effectively implement the decisions and telegrams of the Prime Minister on preventing and combating accidents and injuries to children. At the same time, deploy solutions and activities to prevent and combat drowning in children during the summer vacation, storm and flood season. Commune-level People's Committees strengthen coordination with organizations, unions and individuals to volunteer to closely manage students during the summer vacation, storms, floods and natural disasters to ensure safety in preventing and combating accidents and injuries, especially drowning in children; review and map locations, water areas and constructions in the management area that are at risk of drowning to deploy remedial measures, warnings and vigilance; Actively implement measures to build a safe environment to prevent accidents and injuries to children such as: safe homes, safe communities, safe schools.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and localities to strengthen communication on child drowning prevention and control.
