The Party Committee of BIDV Long An Branch has led the successful implementation of Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW, dated June 16, 2022, of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam emphasized: "Improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations and the quality of Party members has always been considered important and a crucial, ongoing task by our Party." Deeply understanding this spirit, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Investment and Development Bank – Long An Branch (BIDV Long An Branch) has been implementing many comprehensive and innovative solutions to build a team of Party members who are both politically sound and professionally competent, meeting the requirements of the new era.

In the unique environment of a leading financial institution, improving the quality of Party members is not only a task of Party building but also a key factor determining success in business operations. At BIDV in general and the Long An Branch in particular, Party members are the core force, pioneering in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the bank's business strategy.

Party membership development in enterprises like BIDV is a process of nurturing and recruiting outstanding individuals with strong political convictions, revolutionary moral qualities, and solid professional capabilities into the Party ranks. This not only strengthens the "foundation of the Party, the political core" at the grassroots level but also creates a team of cadres with ideals, responsibility, and the courage to think and act, contributing to enhancing competitiveness, building corporate culture, and promoting sustainable business development in the context of deep integration.

Achievements in Party building work

The BIDV Long An Party Committee currently has 69 party members, including 1 probationary member. Recognizing the importance of party member development, the Party Committee has focused its leadership and guidance on this matter, achieving encouraging results. In 2024, the Party Committee admitted 3 new party members and aims to complete the target of admitting 3 more members in 2025.

The training and enhancement of political theory and professional skills for Party members has always been given special attention, considered a key task to improve the quality of the workforce. Currently, two comrades are attending the Advanced Political Theory course, and twelve comrades are participating in the Intermediate Political Theory course at the Tay Ninh Provincial Political School. In addition, in 2025, five outstanding individuals were selected to participate in training courses on Party awareness. These figures clearly demonstrate the deep concern and decisive action of the BIDV Long An Party Committee in building a strong successor team.

To effectively carry out the work of developing Party members and improving the capacity of cadres, the BIDV Long An Party Committee has directed its subordinate Party branches to implement many specific and creative solutions:

Creating an environment for training and challenges: Party branches proactively create opportunities for outstanding individuals to be challenged in professional tasks and mass movements. This helps them demonstrate their abilities, affirm themselves, and gain a correct understanding of the Party's revolutionary ideals.

Innovating the content of Party branch meetings: These meetings not only disseminate policies and guidelines but also serve as a forum for Party members and the public to actively contribute ideas and initiatives to improve business operations. Integrating stories about the moral example and style of Ho Chi Minh, and encouraging Party members to participate in competitions such as the "Minigame commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam," has enriched and made the meeting content more engaging, closely linked to "studying and following the thoughts, morals, and style of Ho Chi Minh."

Enhancing professional skills and applying technology: Keeping pace with the times, the Party Committee organized a training session on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in Party work in early September 2025. Following this, in early October 2025, branch secretaries and grassroots Party committee members participated in a professional development conference. These are concrete steps to realize the policy of "applying information technology in Party work and Party member management."

Enhancing the role of mass organizations

In accordance with the spirit of Resolution 21-NQ/TW, the BIDV Long An Party Committee always focuses on promoting the role of the Fatherland Front and other political and social organizations in Party building work.

The grassroots trade union – A reliable support: With five consecutive years of achieving the title of "Outstanding grassroots trade union in fulfilling its duties," the BIDV Long An grassroots trade union has truly become an ideal environment for training and nurturing outstanding individuals. Through activities caring for and protecting the rights of workers and various emulation movements, the trade union has discovered and introduced many positive individuals with a spirit of dedication to the collective for the Party to nurture and consider for membership.

The movements launched by the grassroots trade unions help to identify positive individuals to be introduced into the ranks of the Party.

Youth Union - A Core and Pioneering Force: The BIDV Long An Youth Union deserves to be considered a "cradle" for training and a reliable reserve force of the Party. Always at the forefront of professional activities, charitable work, and social welfare in the province, and closely linked with the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union, the young people of BIDV Long An have clearly demonstrated their enthusiasm, youthful energy, and spirit of dedication. Cultural and sports movements not only foster unity but also provide opportunities to discover and nurture the most outstanding members, recommending them to the Party and contributing to "the development of Party members among youth union members."

From the above content, it can be seen that the work of Party development and capacity building for Party members at the BIDV Long An Party Committee has been implemented in a systematic and comprehensive manner, achieving many positive results.

Positive points: The Party Committee has demonstrated decisive leadership and a concrete action plan. Party membership development has met and exceeded the set targets. The emphasis on political theory training combined with professional development and the application of new technologies is a highlight. In particular, the Party Committee has effectively utilized the role of mass organizations in identifying and nurturing outstanding individuals.

The work of developing Party members has always been given priority.

Areas for improvement: Despite achieving good results in terms of quantity, training needs to be further deepened, ensuring that each party member is not only strong in theory but also truly a pioneering force in their professional field. The replication of successful models and innovative approaches among party branches needs to be further promoted.

Proposed solution:

Developing a personalized "Party Member Development Roadmap": For each outstanding individual, the Party branch, in coordination with professional leaders, will develop a specific training and challenge roadmap, linked to their career goals and their aspiration to join the Party. This helps individuals clearly see their path and provides them with stronger motivation to strive for advancement.

Strengthening the pioneering role of Party members in digital transformation: Assigning specific tasks to Party members, especially young members, in researching and applying new technologies (AI, Big Data, etc.) to the branch's business operations. Organizing thematic discussions on digital transformation led by these Party members themselves, thereby affirming the leadership role of Party members in new and challenging fields.

In accordance with Resolution 21-NQ/TW, the BIDV Long An Party Committee has proactively and creatively improved the quality of its Party members. Through comprehensive solutions ranging from training and development to promoting the role of mass organizations, the Party Committee has achieved many positive results. Party building work has been closely linked to business tasks, creating a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the unit. This is a typical model that needs to be further promoted and replicated.
