Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022 of the 13th Party Central Committee emphasized: "Improving the leadership capacity, fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations and the quality of Party members is always considered important and determined by our Party as an important and regular task". Thoroughly grasping that spirit, the Party Committee of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Long An Branch (BIDV Long An Branch) has been implementing many synchronous and creative solutions to build a team of Party members who are both "red" and "specialized", meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

In the specific environment of a leading financial institution, improving the quality of party members is not only a task of Party building but also a key factor determining the success of business activities. At BIDV system in general and Long An Branch in particular, party members are the core force, pioneering in implementing the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws and the bank's business strategy.

Developing party members at enterprises such as BIDV is the process of training and recruiting elite people with political courage, revolutionary ethics and solid professional capacity into the Party's ranks. This not only strengthens the "Party's foundation, political core" 2 at the grassroots level but also creates a team of idealistic, responsible, daring cadres, contributing to improving competitiveness, building corporate culture and promoting sustainable production and business development in the context of deep integration.

Achievements in Party building work

BIDV Long An Party Committee currently has 69 party members, including 01 probationary party member. Recognizing the importance of party member development, the Party Committee has focused on leadership and direction and achieved encouraging results. In 2024, the Party Committee admitted 03 new party members and continued to complete the target of admitting 03 party members in 2025.

The work of fostering and improving the political theory and professional expertise of party members has always received special attention, considering this a key task to improve the quality of the team. Currently, there are 02 comrades studying the Advanced Political Theory class, 12 comrades attending the Intermediate Political Theory class at Tay Ninh Provincial Political School. In addition, in 2025, 05 outstanding people were sent to attend Party awareness training classes. These numbers are clear evidence of the deep concern and drastic actions of BIDV Long An Party Committee in building a strong successor team.

Synchronous and creative deployment to each Party cell

To effectively carry out the work of developing party members and improving the capacity of cadres, BIDV Long An Party Committee has directed its affiliated party cells to deploy many specific and creative solutions:

Creating an environment for training and testing: Party cells proactively create conditions for outstanding people to be tested in professional tasks and mass movements. Thereby, helping them prove their abilities, assert themselves and have a correct understanding of the Party's revolutionary ideals.

Innovation in the content of Party cell activities: The activities not only disseminate guidelines and policies but also serve as a forum for Party members and the masses to actively contribute ideas and initiatives to improve business activities. Integrating stories about the moral example and style of Ho Chi Minh and encouraging Party members to participate in competitions such as "Minigame Celebrating the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam" has made the content of the activities more rich and attractive, closely linked to "studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style".

Improving professional skills and applying technology: Grasping the trend of the times, the Party Committee organized a training session on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in party work in early September 2025. Then, in early October 2025, the party cell secretaries and grassroots party committee members participated in a professional training conference. These are specific steps to realize the policy of "applying information technology in party work and party member management".

Promoting the role of mass organizations

In the spirit of Resolution 21-NQ/TW, BIDV Long An Party Committee always focuses on promoting the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in Party building work.
