Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee works with Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee

(kontumtv.vn) – On the afternoon of May 30, in Kon Tum city, the Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee had a working session with the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee to discuss a number of issues related to the merger of the two provincial Party Committees. The working delegation of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee was led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ton Long Hieu. On the Kon Tum side, the delegation was received and worked with by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Quoc Tuan.

At the working session, the Party Committees of the People's Committees of the two provinces focused on discussing the drafting of documents to be submitted to the Congress of the new Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; drafting the Project to establish the new Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee on the basis of merging the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee and the Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee; focusing on regulations on functions, tasks, powers, organizational structure, working relationships of the new Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee and the working regulations of the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Standing Committee of the new Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee.

Currently, the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Party Committee has 46 grassroots party organizations with 36 grassroots party committees, 10 grassroots party cells and more than 5,000 party members. As of May 30, 2025, the team of full-time civil servants working at the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Party Committee is 14 people. On the Kon Tum side, the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee consists of 38 grassroots party organizations with 25 grassroots party committees, 13 grassroots party cells and more than 2,500 party members. The team of full-time civil servants currently working at the Party Committee office is 7 people.

The working session recorded many contributions from the Party Committees of the People's Committees of the two provinces to the Project to establish a new Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Party Committee on the basis of merging the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Party Committee and the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee Party Committee. Through discussion, the two sides agreed on the name of the two Party Committees after the merger: Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, headquartered at the Office of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee; it is expected that the new Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Party Committee will have 47 Executive Committee members, 14 Standing Committee members of the Party Committee; within 5 years, there will be a reduction of 6 Executive Committee members and 3 Standing Committee members of the Party Committee./.
