Defeating South Korea, Jordan enters Asian Cup final
South Korea entered the 2023 Asian Cup semi-final against Jordan with high confidence, but coach Ammouta's team, although having less possession than their opponents, launched more coherent attacks. In the first 45 minutes, South Korea controlled the ball 61% of the time, only had 4 shots, Jordan had 12 shots in the first half.
Not long into the second half, Jordan took the lead. In the 53rd minute, Al Naimat got down to receive the ball and finished neatly with a chip over the Korean goalkeeper's head to put the ball into the net to open the score.
After conceding a goal, South Korea fought back strongly, but Jordan blocked the way to the goal, causing the opponent to fall into a stalemate. In the 66th minute, Al Tamari increased the gap to 2-0 with a decisive finish from outside the penalty area.
The second goal ended South Korea's hopes of a comeback, with Klinsmann's team playing poorly in the remaining minutes. In the end, Jordan won 2-0 and secured a ticket to the final.
