Officials from the Department of Agriculture , Regional Cucumber Company Limited, and Thanh Dat Cooperative inspect harvested cucumbers in Phuc Son commune (Lam Binh).
Previously, the Regional Cucumber Company Limited, Thanh Dat Cooperative supported initial investment capital, seeds, fertilizers, techniques and committed to purchasing products for participating households. The linkage model was implemented on an area of 16 hectares in 3 communes in Minh Quang, Phuc Son, Tho Binh (Lam Binh) with 298 households participating with local cucumber varieties; average yield reached 1.5 tons/sao/crop, selling price reached 8,000-14,000 VND/kg; average reached 12-15 million VND/sao/crop.
The linkage model has contributed to improving land use coefficient, crop rotation, and increasing income for people in highland communes.
