The first 25 lecturers of Dong Nai participated

According to the Department of Science and Technology, this is not only an opportunity to update specialized knowledge and access the latest technology trends, but also an opportunity for students - who are researchers and lecturers in the province - to exchange and share practical experiences, thereby forming a collaborative network, promoting the connection between the state, schools, scientists and businesses in the high-tech field.

The class consists of 25 students who are staff and lecturers at universities and colleges in Dong Nai province who are teaching and researching in related fields. The lecturers of the class are lecturers from Ho Chi Minh City National University and experts with deep expertise and practical experience in the fields of semiconductor technology, microchips and MEMS (microelectromechanical systems).

The training course focuses on basic knowledge of the semiconductor industry, global development trends and Vietnam's industry development strategy; knowledge of methods and practices of thin film coating techniques, etching techniques, diffusion doping and ion implantation techniques; semiconductor and MEMS microfabrication processes.

In addition, the class also includes simulation practice, design and fabrication of photomasks for pressure sensor components; enhancing practical skills for civil servants, public employees and workers in applying semiconductor and MEMS microfabrication technology in high-tech projects.

Unleashing research and creative potential

Students will study theory combined with practice at the Department of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University Administration, Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park and partner companies of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Mr. Tran Cong Doi, Head of the Department of Information Technology (Dong Nai University) - one of the students participating in the training course, shared: “When participating in the training course, we were exposed to basic and core knowledge about microchip design and semiconductor manufacturing technology. This knowledge helped me visualize an overall picture of the field of microchip technology - a spearhead industry that is developing strongly. In particular, the practical content in the program has concretized the theory, helping us directly experience the microchip manufacturing process, something that was previously mostly learned through "books".

“These experiences bring great practical value to teaching, helping lecturers like us to be more confident in imparting knowledge, teaching in a lively and easy-to-understand way, and at the same time updating learning content to be close to current technology practices” - Mr. Tran Cong Doi expressed.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung shared that organizing this training course is a concrete step, demonstrating Dong Nai's determination in investing in knowledge, arousing the potential for research, innovation and application in the field of semiconductor technology.

From there, gradually implement the plan of the Provincial People's Committee to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and related resolutions and plans of the Government and the Provincial Party Committee on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in the province. At the same time, implement the plan of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the strategy for developing Vietnam's semiconductor industry to 2030 and vision to 2050 in the province.

“These are the first bricks for us to build a workforce with specialized capacity, contributing to making Dong Nai a sustainable digital technology industrial province by 2030,” emphasized Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung.
