Seeking solutions to build a mechanism to support businesses in borrowing capital to invest in technological innovation

(DN) - On May 28, the Department of Science and Technology had a working session with representatives of relevant departments and branches, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and a number of banks in the province to seek solutions to build a mechanism to support businesses in the province to borrow capital to invest, develop and innovate technology to serve production and business activities.

The meeting focused on discussing mechanisms to support businesses in Dong Nai province (especially private enterprises – the target group of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025, of the Politburo on the development of the private economy) in accessing loans for investment, development, and technological innovation to serve production and business, under a mechanism where banks support loans and the State subsidizes the interest through the province's Science and Technology Development Fund.

According to Ta Quang Truong, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, the Department will soon advise and propose to the provincial leadership the establishment of a Science and Technology Development Fund to assist businesses in borrowing capital for investment, production development, and technological innovation. This will particularly support technological innovation, digital transformation, and automation.

The leaders of the Department of Science and Technology also commissioned the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics to participate in a scientific and technological research project on developing specific and scientific policies to support businesses in accessing loan capital. At the same time, they hoped that the banking sector and commercial banks in the province would cooperate with the science and technology sector to develop appropriate business support programs, thereby promoting businesses to apply and innovate technology.
